PETROG was originally designed to collect data from a live microscope image, it has since evolved to capture and work not only with live images, but to import data from a variety of sources. Single photographic images, a mosaic of photographs that make a larger image or whole slide scanned images.

This gives you the capability of working away from the microscope, or at a later time, and re-visiting older data.

PETROG provides a standard structure of data and analysis. That provides as valuable resource, but that resource can also be used to provide training data for machine learning AI, so you use AI to assist in working with your data.
