HDMI cameras

Cameras are integrated with PETROG using software interfaces supplied by the camera manufacturer. CVS have worked with the camera manufacturers to support a wide range of models of microscope cameras. In some cases cameras have not been interfaced, either because a software interface is not available, or the software cannot be integrated with PETROG.

To support cameras where we cannot, or have not integrated with PETROG we are able to provide an HDMI interface. If the camera you wish to use has an HDMI output, usually to supply a video signal to a monitor, then you can connect that HDMI output to an interface box. That box will convert the HDMI output to video frame data that can be integrated with PETROG to embed that live image.

Please note that the interface operates only in one direction, therefore the features in PETROG that allow control of the camera image, such as brightness, contrast and colour balance, are not available, but the camera can still be controlled by other software at the same time as PETROG.

In order to be compatible, PETROG requires a USB 3.1 port.
