2.60 Released : 2011
PETROG & PetrogLite
- Minor enhancements: - control over scale bar thickness - control over case-sensitivity in PetrogLite import
- Bug fixes for v2 freeze, including: - reporting not summing properly; - reporting always in %, not giving choice of counts;
- Updated manual
- Additional reporting options for quantitative textural data
- Option to manually control recalculation of grain lengths after a change to the objective recorded for the sample.
- New option to report raw data for grain measurements.
2.59
PETROG
- Minor bug fixes preparing for v2 freeze, including: - upper and lower case in keyboard mapping could be locale-dependent
2.58 Release date :October 2010
PETROG
- Saved images can be printed or re-saved with an overprinted scale (based on the objective used to capture the image originally)
- QAPF ternary diagrams
- Additional save/print options for ternary diagrams and grain size histograms
PetrogLite
- Corrected delimiter char in logging files based on locale
2.57 Release date : September 2010
PETROG
- supports key mappings with full level of detail (down to level 3)
PetrogLite
- Help file location was inconsistent; corrected
2.56 Release date : (unreleased)
2.55 Release date : September 2010
PETROG
- Pre-release of updated manual
- Touchstone 7 export
- Grain size: additional stepping option: specify step size in mm (or by Wentworth grain size)
2.54 Release date : August 2010
PETROG
- "Report all" option was losing its last item
- Minor axis grain size bug when moving field of view between grains
- Report: "Report All" sorts the "all" list, by class and then by item.
- Report: Created report can be transposed without returning to the parent window.
- Report: Options for auto-sizing the report grid
- Grain size: In addition to the previous grain size acquisition options (1. concurrently with compositional point counting; 2. multiple grains on a "grabbed" image), there is now a scheme which will move the slide by one field of view, to allow regular sampling, without needing to "grab" an image for measuring the grains.
- Grain size: Target grain count added to sample set-up (and hence also to Apply To, etc.)
- Grain size: Optionally play a message when target count is reached (also in compositional point counting)
- "Edit Quantitative Composition" - the grid sort (double click in a grid header and the grid will be sorted by that column) now remembers the last 2 columns used for sorting, and uses those as secondary and then ternary sort criteria.
2.53 Release date : May 2010
PETROG
- Newreporting options, including better "report everything logged".
2.63 Release date : 2011
PETROG
- Support for Metamorphic data collection
- Improvements to workflow for concurrent textural logging during compositional data entry
- Bug fixes in estimated and quantitative textural data entry and edit
- Improvements export to Touchstone 7
- Bug fix for chosen acquisition methods in Data Entry Methodology being lost sometimes
- Bug fix for case where default units for quantitative textural data edit could not be determined
- Minor bug fix to improve database management workflow (see Tutorial 13)
2.51 Release date : 2010
Known problem - The stepper sometimes does not move first time on entry to some windows and dialogs. If you give it a first move manually, the rest will follow as expected. We are working on this urgently.
PETROG
- Bug fix - was losing AoI if quantitative compositional set-up re-entered after start of logging.
- Option to add percentage (of quartz overgrowth, of microporosity, ...) during quantitative compositional logging.
PETROG & PetrogLite
- Additional options for re-allocating remaining points after "skip".
2.50 Release date : 2010
PETROG
- (from 20.50.3 - bug fix) Ternary diagram message 'Base call' corrected.
- (from 20.50.3 - bug fix) Quantitative textural set-up message 'Unexpected value' message corrected.
- (from 20.50.3 - bug fix) Reporting classes - access violation corrected.
- (from 20.50.3 - new feature) Ternary diagram: Set colour of points based on well (this is the start of a range of options to set colour or symbol based on sample attributes).
- Microscope objectives not separated between estimation and quantitative textural analyses.
- Quantitative Compositional Comments were being lost;
PetrogLite
- (from 20.50.3) Persistent "Named Go-To" points, stored in file C:\My Documents\PetrogLiteSavedPositions.txt [CSIDL_Personal]
PETROG & PetrogLite
- (from 20.50.3) Change to movement software for new motion control IC and supporting native USB.
2.49
PETROG
- (bug fix) Spurious messages after requesting some combinations of analyses.
- (bug fix) Changing an end-point on ternary diagrams could blank out other end-points.
PETROG & PetrogLite
- Implemented better procedures for managing small step movements.
2.48
PETROG
- Requires new database table: ProjWellSampleInfo
- Introduces Folk "toblerone" ternary schemes (dependent on matrix %)
2.46
PetrogLite
- (bug fix) Resume incorrectly placed the stepper
- (bug fix) Resume initially showed incorrect percentages
- If comma was the field separator in the logging file (which is the default for locales where period is the decimal separator) this character was not prohibited as a logging option, with the result that the file could have errors.
- The stepping pattern had preset "spares" which could not be removed. (Spares are no longer needed, as the pattern will infill if there are skips).
2.45
PETROG
- (v 2.45.6.17 onwards) Creating project and changing project options - if samples were created before or after the change, they behaved differently.
- (v 2.45.6.17 onwards) Different combinations of cross-hairs did not show properly on "B" image.
- (Leica camera only): Updated method for indexing Leica camera resolutions, to allow for firmware changes (configuration parameters read from the camera firmware on the fly).
- Supports Import of Exemplar format files
- Allows for measuring grain size (one per point, assumed to be the grain under the cross-hair) at each point during quantitative compositional logging (initially intended to be for evaluation and requirements feedback, although any data collected will be maintained).
PetrogLite
- Allows for a set of keys to be designated "Isolated Channels"; these are counted separately, not contributing to the target count.
- Provides better control over how the step-size is specified, giving a clear distinction between fixed step size (definable separately for x and y) and a step-size determined from AoI and no. of steps.
PETROG & PetrogLite
- Manages oversize slides by telling the user to rotate through 180 degrees.
- Bug fix: Some very small values of AoI caused an integer overflow when calculating stepping pattern.
- Bug fix: stepper position not always updating when exiting from certain procedures.
